I fitted a Nissan X-trail rear diff, which is almost exactly the same as the
kangoo item, but has an electrically controlled 4wd coupling. The Kangoo gears
were installed into the x-trail diff (x-trail has different final drive ratio)
and the diff then fitted to the Kangoo.
I made up a control system that allows the 4WD to be engaged progressively
from zero engagement through to full lock. A display shows the level of
engagement. Works a treat, been fitted for 12000 miles or so with no issues.

What this electrical selectable 4x4 system you speak of?
Thanks
