Air Mass Sensor Cleaning
The air mass sensor is a unit that measures the air flow going in to the
engine, after a while loads of oily muck can get stuck on to the wire
like sensor filament and it doesn't work very well this can result in:
 |
i) poor starting
ii) rough idle
iii) "lumpy" acceleration |
| If you are very carful you can clean
the element. Use electrical contact cleaner
to spray on to the elements and blast off any muck.
DON'T TOUCH THE WIRES
WITH ANYTHING THEY ARE REALLY THIN AND MAY BREAK! |

Give them a good squirt. leave for 1 -2 minutes and then squirt again.
Leave to dry and replace unit. Car should now run really smooth.
